Scent Work Seminars

Tony Gravley Scent 2025

Tony Gravely Seminar Registration

Cleveland All-Breed Training Club is proudly hosting a two-day scent work seminar with TONY GRAVLEY

Saturday and Sunday, February 8-9, 2025, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Location: Cleveland All-Breed Training Club

210 Hayes Drive, Brooklyn Hts., OH 44131

Tony’s training plan is based on his years of training professional detection dogs and teams. The bomb dog must have total focus and desire to find odor, solve the problem, and locate source. This workshop will not only tap into problem solving but will give your dog the tools to solve problems and bring out motivation to get to source like you have never experienced before! Desire, Drive and Commitment to get to source will be developed through exercises. More importantly, your understanding of the “how’s” and “why’s” will be clarified to make you a more effective trainer. Both your training plan and your future trialing experiences will benefit from your newly gained knowledge.

Tony will work with 12 teams. Working spots are geared toward dogs that have succeeded with ORT or Novice levels or above. Auditor spots will be limited; the quantity will be determined once working spots have been confirmed.

Tony Gravley is the Owner and Founder of Next Generation K9, TWG Group LLC. He has over 30 years of experience as a Trainer, Instructor, Manager, and Handler of Police and Military Working Dogs.

WORKING SPOTS:

A handler may only work one dog per Working Spot.

Dogs need to have succeeded with ORT or Novice levels or above. If you compete in a venue other than NACSW, AKC, or UKC, please indicate on your registration what successes you have had in another venue. If you do not compete, please describe on your registration what training you have been involved in and for how long.

Dogs will be in the Obedience suite. Working dogs should be comfortable (& non-disruptive) in a crate while waiting for their turn. The facility is climate controlled. If a dog cannot be crated without disruption, the handler should expect to work out of his or her car. Please consider this when deciding whether to apply for a Working Spot.

Working Spots are limited — applying for a Working Spot does not guarantee acceptance. In the event of cancellations, preference for Working Spots will be given to those on the Wait List and then to those registered for Auditing Spots.

AUDITING SPOTS:

In order to allow for maximum working time for the working dogs, auditors need to hold their individual questions until breaks or lunch.

WHAT TO BRING:

For Everyone — a portable chair; note-taking supplies.

For Working Spots a crate, tarp to be placed under crate, a water bowl, and rewards/soft treats.

These items can be left overnight.

Lunch will be provided each day and donations are welcomed.
