For puppies 7 – 12 months old that have completed Puppy I or Foundation Skills I.

This class is a bridge to our more advanced classes. Obedience basics are continued but this class will now allow those puppies the opportunity to earn an AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Certificate. Puppies will be introduced to beginning agility equipment to build confidence and keep learning fun.

In addition, they will learn “life skills” which will expose them to adverse, uncomfortable situations so they can learn to deal with things they have never experienced.  This kind of exposure in a safe, learning environment is also another way a puppy can grow up learning how to become a calm, confident, well rounded adult dog. Puppies will be introduced to horns, whistles, shake cans, etc.  Visual stimuli such as streamers on a stick, umbrella, rolling cart, crutches, walker and a stranger wearing odd clothing.

Along with the obedience skills, confidence building on agility equipment and the introductions to learning “life skills” these puppies will be on their way to be able to take the AKC ATT Test (Temperament Test).
