Seminars

Scent Work Seminar – Detective
Tony Gravley is the Owner and Founder of Next Generation K9, TWG Group LLC. He has over 30 years of experience as a Trainer, Instructor, Manager, and Handler of Police and Military Working Dogs.
Tony's training plan is based on his years of training professional detection dogs and teams. The bomb dog must have total focus and desire to find odor, solve the problem, and locate source. This workshop will not only tap into problem solving but will give your dog the tools to solve problems and bring out motivation to get to source like you have never experienced before! Desire, Drive and Commitment to get to source will be developed through exercises. More importantly, your understanding of the "how's" and "why's" will be clarified to make you a more effective trainer. Both your training plan and your future trialing experiences will benefit from your newly gained knowledge.

Two-Day Theory & Problem-Solving Obedience Seminar
Connie’s two-day seminars focus on understanding how dogs learn and clear communication. She is passionate about helping people at all levels of the sport. Generally, day one focuses on individuals needing help with how to teach, or having difficulty with attention, heeling, retrieving and recalls. Commonly, on day two, Connie may cover problem solving difficult exercises such as go-outs, articles, drop on recall, etc.
Sign up information will be available in late 2025.
AKC Certificate Test/Titling Events

AKC ATT, CGC, CGCA, and Trick Dog Testing
The AKC Temperament Test (ATT) was developed to bring focus and provide a meaningful evaluation to assess the temperament of our canine companions.
The ATT tests how a dog reacts to a variety of stimuli. Desirable traits are that the dog will be emotionally stable, inquisitive, cooperative, appropriately social for its breed, biddable and demonstrates the ability to recover from a startling situation in a reasonable amount of time.
Undesirable traits are fear, shyness, lack of cooperation and an inability to recover from unfamiliar or unexpected situations. Examples of undesirable behaviors include being afraid of friendly strangers or unfamiliar stimuli, obsessive barking, and aggression. In the ATT, dogs are tested in 6 categories of stimuli that include:
• Social
• Auditory
• Visual
• Tactile
• Proprioceptive (motion)
• Unexpected stimulus
Each dog needs two qualifying scores under two different judges in order to achieve an ATT title.
Entries are open from Monday, August 18, 2025 to Wednesday September 24, 2025@6 PM.
